About Marianne
I'm on this journey , this adventure as a woman who wants to be Super Woman except something called life gets in the way!
I'm continually learning how to navigate through the hard parts, treasure the memorable parts, and prepare for the parts that have not yet gotten here. Life is far from easy, but I believe there are ways to make it more enjoyable, less time consuming, and more manageable! This blog is about my past, present and will be about what comes in the future. I am taking what I know as a woman, adding it to what I learned while being a middle school teacher, combining all that with what I am learning as a wife, mom, daughter, & sister, adding tons of God's grace, knowledge and creativity to produce the best version on myself. Growing up in a preacher's home was not always glamorous. Sometimes it got difficult to have a father who sometimes had to deal with other people's personal lives on a daily basis. We may not have had a "normal" home, but one thing my sisters |
and I always had was two parents who we had the pleasure of seeing love each other through every circumstance; who opened their doors to whomever needed an a place to rest, and on top of all that, my mother always had the best food on the table because we never knew who would show up for dinner. Throughout my entire childhood and even now in my adulthood, one thing that I admire above all else is my mother's ability to be a loving wife, patient mom, uplifting pastor' wife, and an incredible cook all while doing it with the perfect face of make up and hair-do! We might as well just call her the Proverbs 31 woman! She is my hero, and I strive to become more and more like her. A lot of the things I do today as a wife and mother come from the example she was for me. This simple fact shows me why being the best version of myself is one of the most important gifts I can give my daughter. It's the reason why I am starting this blog!
So here is a little about my current situation: I taught middle school English for six years. In my 4th year, I married my bestie, in my 6th year I had a baby, and the moment I laid eyes on my little angel I knew I wanted a change of career. The last years have been life changing, and the joy just keeps growing. This blog is a documentation of my journey. I'm so excited that you have joined me! Let's do this!!
